The Kraken suffered their first loss of the preseason last night to the Calgary Flames 4-1. Mitchell Stephens scored the lone goal for Seattle. Philipp Grubauer stopped 17 of the 19 shots he faced last night, while Matt Murray stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced last night.

The Oilers picked up their second win of the preseason last night with a 3-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Issac Howard, Quinn Hutson, and Ty Emberson each scored for the Oilers in the win. Calvin Pickard stopped all eight shots he faced, while Matt Tomkins stopped 13 of the 15 shots he faced.

Ben Meyers played in eight games for the Kraken last season and didn’t record a point, and was a minus-two. In 57 games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, he recorded 51 points on 23 goals and 28 assists. He was a minus-two with six power-play goals and four game-winning goals.

Andrew Mangianpane last season in 81 games for the Washington Capitals recorded 28 points on 14 goals and 14 assists. He was even in plus/minus with a shorthanded goal and three game-winning goals.
