Edmonton Oilers News & Notes:
The Oilers are playing their fifth preseason game out of their eight-game preseason schedule and will look to pick up yet another win against Winnipeg. The Oilers, having lost 4-1 to the Seattle Kraken, look to rebound tonight as their top prospects and key offseason additions are expected to take the ice.
Winnipeg Jets News & Notes
Winnipeg is still looking for its first preseason win of 2025. The rematch from their 3-2 loss on Tuesday flips back over to Edmonton, and as the Jets have their own top prospects and key offseason additions taking the ice in Edmonton, a score in the win column tonight can even up the series.

Players To Watch:
Edmonton Oilers
Matthew Savoie was a strong addition to the Oilers roster last offseason, but it’s up to the former Buffalo Sabres prospect to make his mark. Savoie has played in two preseason games so far and has yet to make any noise, making him the perfect candidate to have an excellent game tonight.
Andrew Mangiapane signed in Edmonton during the 2025 NHL Offseason and looks to fit in well in the early goings of preseason. Mangiapane scored the Oilers’ lone goal in their preseason loss to the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night.
Winnipeg Jets
Cole Koepke is one of two forwards projected to make the Jets’ fourth line at the end of training camp. Koepke was a free agency addition this past summer and looks to fit in Winnipeg nicely. His game has an element of a speedy winger who plays with bite, and if he can contribute that, tonight would be just another great showcase of his skills for him.
Colby Barlow has been making noise in training camp this year, and while he’ll spend the majority of the season with the Manitoba Moose, he’s still a strong prospect for the future of the Jets.
