Training camp is ongoing for the LA Kings, but the seasons for the prospects in their respective leagues have begun.

On Monday, the Kings assigned Jon Chovan, Jimmy Lombardi, Carter George, and camp invite Nate Corbett to their junior clubs. Yesterday, the organization did the same with Henry Bruzstewicz and Jared Woolley, returning them to the London Knights.

We’ll see if Brzustewicz and Woolley play in London’s game tonight, but we have some updates to give. Last night, two prospects in the Kings’ organization were in action, both in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Here is a recap:

Jan Chovan

Chovan, LA’s fifth-round pick in this past draft, was one of three Kings prospects to make their way back to their juniors. As a memory refresher, Chovan will play for the Sudbury Wolves for the 2025-26 campaign. The Wolves faced off against the Windsor Spitfires, the junior team of Liam Greentree, and were held scoreless. With Sudbury being held scoreless, so was Chovan. Chovan finished the night with three shots on goal, playing on the top line at right wing.

Carter George

The man of the night. Carter George was named the starting goaltender for the Owen Sound Attack three days after returning from training camp with the Kings. George didn’t miss a beat and stopped 23 of 24 shots and all four shootout attempts in Owen Sound’s 2-1 victory. That adds up to a .958 save percentage and a perfect 100% in shootout save percentage.

The number-one goalie prospect in LA’s system made several impressive saves throughout the game as well. Kings fans have every right to be excited for George’s potential.
