The Capitals picked up a 5-1 win over the Flyers on Thursday night. They got goals from Andrew Cristall, Connor McMichael, Ivan Miroshnichenko, and two from Sonny Milano. Clay Stevenson played the whole game, stopping 15 of the 16 shots he faced.

New Jersey Devils News & Notes:

The Devils play a split-squad game today after picking up a 4-2 win over the Islanders on Friday night. They got goals from Nathan Legare, Angus Crookshank, Arseni Gritsyuk, and Luke Glendening. Jake Allen got the start, stopping 11 of the 12 shots he faced, while Jakub Malek stopped 12 of the 13 shots he faced.

Washington Capitals

Ryan Leonard, made his NHL debut last season playing in nine games, he scored one goal and was a minus-four. In 37 games at Boston College, he recorded 49 points on 30 goals and 19 assists. He was a +30 with four power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and nine game-winning goals.

New Jersey Devils:

Nathan Legare spent last season playing in three games for the Devils but was held pointless and finished with a minus-one. In 69 games for the Utica Comets in the AHL, he had 25 points on 17 goals and eight assists. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal, a shorthanded goal, and seven game-winning goals.
