Vancouver Canucks winger Nils Hoglander (lower body) has been listed as week-to-week. The Swedish forward was injured during Wednesday’s preseason game against the Calgary Flames. According to CHEK-TV’s Rick Dhaliwal, Hoglander is dealing with a sprained ankle. Hoglander fills a middle-six role in Vancouver, and his presence will be missed at both ends of the ice if he can’t recover in time for opening night. Last season, Hoglander registered 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) and 76 hits in 72 appearances. His absence could give a prospect like Braeden Cootes an opportunity to make the team.–Taavi Pailk
