The Rangers suffered their first regulation loss of the preseason last time out against the Islanders 5-4. They got goals from Vincent Trocheck, Brett Berard, J.T. Miller, and Brennan Othmann. Jonathan Quick got the start, stopping 13 of the 15 shots he faced, while Dylan Garand stopped seven of the ten shots he faced.

New York Islanders News & Notes:

The Islanders suffered a 4-2 loss to the Devils last time out. They got goals from Anthony Duclair and Marc Gatcomb. Ilya Sorokin played the whole game, stopping 23 of the 26 shots he faced.

New York Rangers

Brendan Brisson last season played in nine games for the Golden Knights but was held pointless and finished as a minus-three. He combined to play in 61 games in the AHL between the Henderson Silver Knights and Hartford Wolf Pack. Brisson recorded 25 points on seven goals and 18 assists. He was a -33 with two power-play goals and two game-winning goals.

New York Islanders

Calum Ritchie last season played in seven games with the Colorado Avalanche. He scored a goal and was a minus-seven. He also played in 47 games with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL. Ritchies recorded 70 points on 15 goals and 55 assists. He was a +28 with four power-play goals and six game-winning goals.
