The Minnestota Wild and Kirill Kaprizov have worked out a record deal for the Russian forward.

On Tuesday, Kaprizov signed an eight-year, $136 million contract extension that will keep him in Minnesota through the 2033-24 season. The average annual value of $17 million and total contract dollars are the highest in NHL history.

The 28-year-old Kaprizov is entering his sixth NHL season, all with the Wild. Since entering the league in 2020-21, he has scored 185 goals, including three 40-goal seasons, and recorded 386 points.
