The company that brought Moxies Restaurant to North Texas plans to open another of its concepts in the area in October.
Northland Properties, a Vancouver-based group with hospitality, real estate, construction, sports and entertainment brands run by Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi, plans to open one of its The Tavern Collective locations in Irving on Oct. 22, 2025.
The restaurant, which will be located within the Sandman Signature Las Colinas Hotel & Suites — a hotel chain under the Northland Properties umbrella — will serve elevated pub food and Detroit-style pizzas, among other globally inspired fare. It will also feature steampunk-inspired interiors, arcade games and a thorough drinks menu of cocktails and beer.
Tavern on Meridian, as the Las Colinas-area outpost has been dubbed (it’s on Meridian Drive after all), will also include an ode to the restaurant’s mascot: a French bulldog named JD. “Every dog has its day. And every human, their tavern,” the Tavern website reads.

Hand rolls and other shareables fill the menu at Tavern on Meridian, which opens in Irving on Oct. 22.
Tavern Collective
There are Tavern restaurants in Calgary and Winnipeg, and this will mark the first location in the U.S.
Northland Properties is no stranger to North Texas’ dining scene. It opened Moxies at the Crescent development in Uptown Dallas in 2016, marking the first U.S. location of the concept.
The company is also part of another forthcoming restaurant opening in Dallas’ Preston Center. Craft Restaurant and Beer Market, which will feature more than 100 beers on tap, is expected to open at the corner of Northwest Highway and Kate Street in 2026.
Tavern on Meridian opens Oct. 22, 2025, at 1311 Meridian Drive, Irving.
