These five players will be on NHL Waivers for the next 24 hours, and if they clear, they will be sent to the San Jose Barracuda.
The Sharks also announced that they have released the following players: Kasper Kalttunen, Oliver Wahlstrom, Igor Chernyshov, Filip Bystedt, Cole Clayton, Jake Furlong, Braden Hache, Gabe Carriere, and Matt Davis.

Following these moves, and if/when the waived players clear, the San Jose Sharks are now down to 36 players on their official roster.
The NHL season officially begins one week from Tuesday. Each NHL team must have its roster set by Oct. 6th by 5 p.m. ET. A team may have more than 23 players on its roster, I.e, injured players on IR, but it needs to be salary cap compliant.
