Joshua Roy has been sent to the Laval Rocket in the minors, a somewhat expected move, but he remains motivated and focused on reaching the NHL.
Roy, a 22-year-old forward, had an excellent summer, showing more pace and visible progress.
Joshua Roy determined to progress with the Laval Rocket
“Whether he tells us or not, it’s clear that he’s disappointed because he had a good summer, he showed more pace, but he still has time ahead of him. He feels he’s on the right track, and he feels that by working as he did this summer, he’s getting closer to his goal. We’re going to push him hard this year.”

On his side, Joshua Roy keeps his head up and knows that hard work is still ahead. I must say I loved his response. The young forward admitted:
“There’s still a lot of work to do on my game and on small details that will make it possible for me to reach the next level.”

This mindset really shows that he understands the process and is going to give it his all.
I find this kind of attitude very encouraging. He is still young. Let’s not forget that Martin St-Louis was still in the American League at 23.
Canadiens fans will therefore need to closely follow his progress in Laval, where he will have many offensive responsibilities.
