Bowers was placed on waivers by the Sharks on Tuesday, according to James Mirtle of The Athletic.
Bowers will report to AHL San Jose if he doesn’t find a new team via the waiver wire. The 2017 first-round pick (No. 28 overall) appeared in just four regular-season games with New Jersey last year, though he suited up for 65 outings with AHL Utica, notching three goals and 17 points.
