The University of Maine men’s hockey team, the defending Hockey East champions, is set to hit the ice for their preseason opener against the University of New Hampshire on Friday night. The game will take place at Bowdoin College. The Black Bears have seen significant changes in their roster, losing 13 players from last season to either professional leagues or the transfer portal. However, Head Coach Ben Barr has retooled and restocked the team with a wealth of top-tier talent.
