The Predators increased in value by more than 20 percent from last year, but the franchise dropped one spot among Sportico’s estimated NHL franchise values.

The sports business website listed the Predators as worth $1.6 billion, up 21 percent from last year’s estimate of $1.3 billion. Nashville was worth $990 million in 2023, per Sportico.

Only five NHL organizations increased their value by a higher percentage from the respective marks of last year: back-to-back Stanley Cup-winning Florida Panthers (51 percent), Carolina (49 percent), Anaheim (28 percent), Washington (24 percent) and Columbus (23 percent).

However, Nashville’s value ranked only 24th of 32 teams in the NHL this year, down one spot from No. 23, per Sportico’s rankings from last season.

Toronto was the highest ranked franchise at $4.25 billion, followed by the New York Rangers ($3.65 billion), Montreal ($3.3 billion), Boston ($3.0 billion) and the Los Angeles Kings ($2.96 billion).

Twelve NHL franchises were valued at more than $2 billion, up from eight in 2024.

Comparatively speaking, NFL franchises are valued far higher.

The Titans, for example, were valued at $6.2 billion, which ranked 22nd among the league’s 32 teams. The $6.2 billion figure represented a 17 percent increase from 2024.

The valuations of both the Predators and Titans have likely increased in part because of new construction.

The Predators have scheduled $750 million worth of renovation to Bridgestone Arena, work that’s set to begin in 2026 and end in 2029.

On the east side of the Cumberland River, the Titans are building a $2.2 billion new Nissan Stadium, which is scheduled to open for the 2027 season.
