Toronto Maple Leafs winger William Nylander has scored in each of his last three playoff appearances, and his pregame outfit has stayed exactly the same through all of them.

Since Game 6 of Toronto’s first-round series against the Ottawa Senators, the Maple Leafs forward has worn a beige suit with a white dress shirt to the rink.

He’s scored in every game since.

Nylander followed up a two-goal, one-assist performance to close out the Senators with a similar multi-point night (two goals, one assist) in Game 1 against the Florida Panthers.

Most recently, Nylander tied Game 2 at 2-2 with a goal in the second period of Wednesday’s match. The Maple Leafs went on to win 4-3 and now lead the Panthers 2-0 as the series shifts to Florida.

Nylander was asked about his suit of choice after the Game 2 victory over the Panthers.

“It’s just the one that’s in the front right now,” Nylander said. “We’ll see if (I take it to Florida for Games 3 and 4). Maybe I’ll think a little bit about it longer when I pack.”

Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube praised the winger’s consistency and poise under pressure.

“Nothing gets to him,” Berube said. “He doesn’t feel pressure. There’s no too big a stage for this guy. He thrives on this stuff.”

Nylander has six goals and seven assists through eight games, tied for the third-most in the postseason and on par with Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl.

The Leafs winger is the first Maple Leafs player to score in three straight postseason games since Alexander Mogilny in 2003.

The Maple Leafs will try to maintain their momentum when they visit the Panthers for Game 3 at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida on Friday, with puck drop at 7 p.m. ET.
