ORLANDO, Fla. – Tuesday night the Florida Panthers took on the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Kia Center for a preseason matchup. The Lightning held off a late Panthers rally to secure a 3–2 victory in a spirited preseason clash.
Tampa’s offense came alive in the middle frame, turning a 1–1 tie into a 3–1 lead with two quick goals. Florida responded late but couldn’t find the equalizer, despite a final-minute push with the goalie pulled. Though the game won’t impact the standings, it gave fans a taste of the Sunshine State rivalry ahead of the regular season and offered coaches valuable insight into players battling for roster spots.
