Portillo was recalled from AHL Ontario on Thursday.
Portillo was reassigned to the minors Wednesday, but he’ll rejoin the NHL club a day later with two games remaining on the Kings‘ preseason schedule. Despite being recalled Thursday, the 25-year-old will likely head back to the minors before the start of the regular season.
