Rusty Croft, Kirk Rademaker and Sid Hamilton, aka “The Sand Guys,” create a sand replica on Friday on Cowell Beach of the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League team mascot S.J. Sharkie. The trio was engaged by the hockey team to make the sand sculpture to celebrate the start of the 2025-26 Sharks regular season, which begins on Thursday, Oct. 9 at the SAP Center in San Jose. S.J.
