Metsa was called up by the Sabres on Friday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
Metsa will join the NHL club ahead of Friday’s preseason finale against the Penguins since Radim Mrtka won’t play due to an illness. Metsa hasn’t yet made his NHL debut and will likely head back to the minors ahead of the regular season.
