Veteran defenceman Ryan Graves was among the players placed on waivers by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Graves is entering the third season of a six-year, $27 million contract, featuring an average annual value of $4.5 million.

Other players placed on waivers by the Pens include defenceman Alexander Alexeye as well as wingers Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Boko Imama and Sam Poulin while forward Robby Fabbri was released from his profession tryout.

Graves scored one goal and added three assists over 61 games with the Penguins in 2024-25, his second season with the franchise.

The native of Yarmouth, N.S., signed with the Penguins ahead of the 2023-24 season after scoring eight goals and 18 assists over 78 games with the New Jersey Devils.

Over 433 career games with the Colorado Avalanche, Devils and Penguins, Graves has 32 goals and 86 assists. He has 10 points in 35 career playoff games.
