The Blues picked up their first win of the preseason with a 7-1 victory over the Senators on Thursday. They got goals from Robert Thomas, Pavel Buchnevich, Oskar Sundkvist, Mathieu Joseph, Dylan Holloway, and two from Philip Broberg. Jordan Binnington stopped 36 of the 37 shots he faced in the win.

Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes:

The Blackhawks suffered a 3-2 loss to the Wild last night. Frank Nazar and Nick Foligno were the goal scorers in the loss. Spencer Knight stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced.

St. Louis Blues

Aleksanteri Kaskimaki last season played in 63 games for the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. He had 34 points on 11 goals and 23 assists. He was a minus-six with four power-play goals and a shorthanded goal.

Chicago Blackhawks

Gavin Hayes, last season in 50 games for the Rockford IceHogs, recording 15 points on five goals and ten assists. He was a minus-two with a power-play goal and two game-winning goals.
