Studnicka was placed on waivers by the Panthers on Sunday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Studnicka didn’t make any regular-season appearances in the NHL last year and will be left off the Opening Night roster for the 2025-26 campaign. He recorded 16 goals, 29 assists and 64 PIM over 72 regular-season appearances with AHL Ontario last year, and he’ll likely spend most of this season in the minors.
