The San Jose Barracuda are the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks. Led by coach John McCarthy, they are back on the ice starting in October for another exciting season of hockey in the Pacific Division.
They play at Tech CU Arena in San Jose.
After a coast-to-coast franchise move from Worcester, Massachusetts to San Jose, California in 2015, the Barracuda were one of the five charter members of the AHL’s Pacific division.Â
As the primary development team for the Sharks, watching the Barracuda offers a firsthand look at future NHL stars like Filip Bystedt and Shakir Mukhamadullin as they hone their skills. It’s the best place to see the future of San Jose professional hockey today.
Now they’re set up for a return to the playoffs after having one of their best in franchise history last season.
The 2025-26 AHL season is streaming live on FloHockey starting this October. Subscribe today to watch the action.
