We got a somewhat quieter game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.

However, it feels like this is just the calm before the storm between MacDermid and Xhekaj.

MacDermid went to see Xhekaj several times last night..

But the Senators’ enforcer seemed more interested in taunting Xhekaj than actually backing up his words with actions.

Anyway, we have an update!

While MacDermid kept chirping Xhekaj verbally, the Canadiens defenseman apparently responded by inviting him to drop the gloves – but the Senators’ new acquisition reportedly declined the Sheriff’s invitation.

“Pretty sure I just saw Xhekaj ask Macdermid to go and he refused”

So this will definitely be something to watch the next time the Montreal Canadiens face the Ottawa Senators.

Kurtis MacDermid, 31 years old, is a Quebec-born forward standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 223 pounds. He was traded to the Sens (in exchange for Zack MacEwen) literally just a few hours ago.

Last season, he recorded 0 points in 23 games with the New Jersey Devils while picking up 23 penalty minutes.

He’s still one of the toughest of the tough!
