New food at New Jersey Devils games this season
The Devils kick off their home hockey season on Oct. 16. See the new additions to the concession lineup here.
The New Jersey Devils announced the roster that will begin the 2025-2026 regular season. All NHL teams had until Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. to finalize the rosters.
The club will begin the regular season on Oct. 9 at the Carolina Hurricanes in a rematch of the teams’ first round playoff series.
There are six members of the roster that did not play for the club during the 2024-2025 season, including free agent signings Connor Brown and Evgenii Dadonov.
Brown was signed to a 4-year, $12 million contract after reaching the Stanley Cup Final with Edmonton while Dadonov signed a 1-year, $1 million deal following three seasons in Dallas.
Juho Lammikko returns to the NHL after three seasons in the Swiss National League, signing with the Devils on June 16.
Three players are set to make their NHL debuts with the Devils this season. 20-year old Lenni Hameenaho was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft by New Jersey and made the club, as did 24-year old Arseni Gritsyuk. Fans have waited for Gritsyuk to arrive since he was drafted in 2019, but the winger spent the last five seasons in the KHL.
Traded by Edmonton in March 2025, 22-year old Shane LaChance has also earned a roster spot. The former Boston University captain scored 25 goals and had 32 assists in 80 games played over the last two seasons.
Seamus Casey and Marc McLaughlin will both begin the season on injured reserve, while Johnathan Kovacevic and Stefan Noesen have been listed as injured, non-roster members of the team.
