The Utah Mammoth have signed forward Kevin Rooney to a one-year, two-way contract, it was announced Monday night.

Rooney was with the New Jersey Devils on a professional tryout agreement in camp but did not make the opening night roster.

The 32-year-old has five goals and five assists for 10 points in 70 games with the Calgary Flames last season, his third with Calgary.

He played his first four seasons with the Devils before spending two years in New York with the Rangers before joining the Flames for the 2022-23 season.

In 330 career regular season NHL games spread out over nine seasons, Rooney has 32 goals and 28 assists for 60 points.
