Tessa Torres-Hoffman | Onward State

Penn State senior men’s hockey goaltender John Seifarth is no longer listed on the team’s official roster as of Monday.

Seifarth spent just last season with the Nittany Lions, appearing in six games after starting netminder Arsenii Sergeev went down with an injury. The Pittsburgh native had a 3-2 record with a .918 save percentage over those appearances.

Prior to his time with Guy Gadowsky’s squad, Seifarth was a member of the Penn State club men’s hockey team. As a sophomore, he had a .912 save percentage and 4-6 record.

The roster removal comes about a month after Seifarth’s supposed girlfriend Izzy Starck announced her departure from the Penn State women’s volleyball program. She is also no longer on Penn State’s official roster.

Penn State men’s hockey now has two goaltenders in Kevin Reidler and Josh Fleming.
