Sebastian Bradshaw, seventh-round, 2023 selection of the Dallas Stars, acquired by BCHL’s Snakes from Langley Rivermen
One more player in, three moved out.
The Vernon Vipers, off to a 1-4-2 start in the 2025-26 B.C. Hockey League season, have acquired another player from the league’s Langley Rivermen while releasing three players.
The Snakes nabbed 20-year-old forward Sebastian Bradshaw, a Dallas Stars’ National Hockey League draft pick, from the Rivermen in exchange for a player development fee.
“When the opportunity arose yesterday (Monday, Oct. 6) to add Sebastian, an experienced player that had been drafted in the NHL, there was little pause,” said Vernon head coach and general manager Matt Cooke, who played 16 seasons in the NHL. “He’s a big-body 20 (year-old) that will help lead and guide our young forwards on how to prepare and perform night in and night out.Â
“We are excited to see the immediate effect adding him to our lineup will bring.”
Bradshaw was chosen in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft – 221st overall – by Dallas. He has played 97 games over the past three BCHL seasons with the Rivermen and Coquitlam Express. Bradshaw appeared in four games for Langley this year, scoring once.
Vernon picked up hulking 6-foot-6 defenceman Taylor Curtis of Langley over the weekend. Curtis, who will turn 18 on Oct. 29, played three games for the Rivermen before being acquired by the Vipers. He made his Snakes debut Oct. 4 in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
Bradshaw will join the Vipers for the BCHL Showcase in Abbotsford. Vernon takes on the undefeated Coquitlam Express Sunday, Oct. 12, then face the Victoria Grizzlies Monday, Oct. 13.
The 3-3Â Rivermen host the Blackfalds Bulldogs (2-4)Â Friday, Oct. 10, at the George Preston Arena before facing the Cranbrook Bucks Tuesday, Oct. 14, and the Crusaders Thursday, Oct. 16, in Abbotsford at the Showcase.
• In other roster news, the Vipers have released forwards Nathaniel Harvey and Antoine Demers, and defenceman Jeff Quaschnick.Â
