The Stars, Oilers and Avalanche are each +700 to win the Presidents’ Trophy, given to the team with the most points in the regular season. Dallas, Edmonton and Colorado are tied for the fourth best odds behind Florida, Vegas and Carolina.
Hart Trophy
Mikko Rantanen is the only Dallas Star remotely high on the odds board for the Hart Trophy, given to the regular season’s MVP. Rantanen is +6500, slotting him with the 14th-best odds to win the MVP. A little further down the board is Jake Oettinger, Wyatt Johnston, Jason Robertson, Matt Duchene and Roope Hintz at +50000.
Vezina Trophy
Oettinger comes into the season tied for the fourth-best odds to win the Vezina Trophy, given to the top goaltender of the season. Oettinger and Calgary’s Dustin Wolf each have +1500 odds, with Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck (+310), New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin (+650) and Tampa Bay’s Andrei Vasilevskiy (+750) in front of them.
Norris Trophy
Miro Heiskanen has established himself as a top-shelf defenseman in the NHL and he should be again this season. He comes into the season tied for the ninth-best odds to win the Norris Trophy, given to the season’s best defenseman, at +5500. Thomas Harley isn’t far behind at +6000.
Jack Adams Award
Could new Stars coach Glen Gulutzan win the Jack Adams Award, given to the top coach of the year, in his first season back as the Dallas head coach? FanDuel says you shouldn’t get your hopes up.
Gulutzan has the second-lowest odds to win the award at +6000, tied with Vegas’ Bruce Cassidy and just in front of Washington’s Spencer Carbery at +7500.
