The Montreal Canadiens have just released an official statement live from Toronto ahead of their matchup against the Maple Leafs.
Yesterday afternoon, it was indicated that there would be a morning skate today in Toronto – but that will ultimately not be the case.
“TORONTO – Happy hockey! The Canadiens open their 116th season on Wednesday when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena.
To nobody’s surprise, Montembeault is set to start for Montreal, who are not scheduled for a morning skate on Wednesday.”
