In a new campaign video, Rivera said that he is focused on “urgency, service, and accountability” and frames the 2025 election as a turning point.
4. Full-scale renovation at KeyBank Center in preliminary stages
A full-scale renovation at the KeyBank Center is currently in the preliminary stages, Buffalo Sabres team officials have confirmed. The Sabres have had conversations with an architect, Erie County and the state.Â
5. Buffalo Restaurant Week to celebrate elevated comfort with local soul
Buffalo Restaurant Week 2025, which takes place October 13-19, will showcase menus from more than 100 eateries across Western New York that have been inspired by Visit Buffalo’s new “That’s Buffalo For You” campaign.
6. New York families lack shelters amid surging family homelessness, advocates say
A report released by the state earlier this year found that of New York’s homeless population, more than 60% are in families and 32% are children, which is one of the highest shares in the country.
