Prime Video has announced a new collaboration with Spittin’ Chiclets, one of the biggest hockey podcasts, to bring content and commentary to Prime Monday Night Hockey for its second NHL season.

According to the press release, the Spittin’ Chiclets crew will appear in “exclusive content” throughout the NHL season. Host Paul Bissonnette will appear on select broadcasts, beginning with the NHL on Prime opener on Oct. 13. The exclusive content is set to feature not only Paul Bissonnette, but also other show hosts and former NHLers Ryan Whitney and Keith Yandle. The content will appear in the pre-game show, Home Ice Access, and during intermissions. Spittin’ Chiclets will also appear on select episodes of NHL Coast to Coast on Prime Video, a weekly live whiparound show which airs on Thursday nights.

To add some context for those not familiar: Spittin’ Chiclets, which is part of the Barstool Sports Network, has become one of the largest producers of hockey media with previously-mentioned hosts Paul Bissonnette, Ryan Whitney, and Keith Yandle. Alongside traditional hockey coverage, the show features pop culture conversations and entertaining stories from the playing days of guest players, providing unfiltered content about the game of hockey. Paul Bissonnette joined TNT for its hockey coverage in 2021, quickly becoming one of the more entertaining faces of mainstream hockey coverage. Prime Video signed a two-year deal to become an NHL broadcaster in 2024, embracing the sport with open arms (Which includes putting a giant LEGO installation in Toronto’s Union Station).

As mentioned earlier, Bissonnette’s first broadcast with Prime Video will be the season opener for NHL on Prime Video on Monday, Oct. 13, when the Detroit Red Wings face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 4pm. ET. Following that broadcast will be the St. Louis Blues against the Detroit Red Wings at 7:30pm ET.
