Detroit — If the Tigers make it into the American League Championship Series, Detroit sports fans might be interested to watch a sports doubleheader in Toronto.

The NHL announced Friday the start time to Monday’s Red Wings-Toronto Maple Leafs game, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, will now begin at 2 p.m.

The change is to accommodate Monday’s Game 2 of the American League Championship Series at Rogers Centre in Toronto. If the Tigers defeat Seattle Friday night, the Tigers would take on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Following the Maple Leafs’ game, fans will be able to stay in their seats at Scotiabank Arena to catch all of the ALCS action as the broadcast is aired on the videoboard in-arena.
