Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:

The Blue Jackets are celebrating their 25th NHL season with special events, fan experiences, and celebrating the inaugural team throughout the year. Columbus is honoring former player Cam Atkinson, who will sign a one-day contract on October 16, to retire with the Blue Jackets.

Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

The Wild locked up two pieces of their core as they inked superstar Left Wing Kirill Kaprizov to an 8 year/$136 million deal, and Goaltender Filip Gustavsson to a 5 year/$34 million deal. Kaprizov’s deal is an NHL record for total value and average annual value. Gustavsson’s deal demonstrates he is the clear number one goalie in Minnesota moving forward.
