The young prospect of the Montreal Canadiens, Michael Hage, continues to steal the spotlight with the University of Michigan.

Hage’s first goal came early in the game. Well set up by his teammate, he took advantage of an opening to beat the goalie with a skillful fake, once again confirming his scoring instinct.

Later, in the second period, he impressed on the power play, this time with a precise shot from the left circle, reminiscent of a certain Patrik Laine in execution.

Michael Hage continues dominant performances with the University of Michigan

With nine points (four goals, five assists) in just three games, Hage is already surpassing the pace of his rookie season, where he had accumulated 34 points in 33 games.

The Wolverines now have a perfect 3-0 record, and it’s clear that Hage is the centerpiece so far!

Of course, the season has just begun, but at this pace, he could well establish himself as one of the best forwards in the NCAA this season.

And while the spotlight is on him, another Canadiens prospect, L.J. Mooney, also contributed to the celebration by earning an assist and scoring a beautiful goal in the shootout.

Let’s just say the Canadiens’ future looks very promising, and I’m already wondering if Hage will be with the Habs as early as next year.
