Canadiens vs. Blackhawks PickCanadiens vs. Blackhawks Moneyline Pick

Montreal’s Original Six road swing to start the season continues here as they faced Toronto and Detroit before heading to the Windy City for this one. The Canadiens bounced back from that loss to the Maple Leafs by battering the Red Wings. Chicago managed to earn a point in their OT loss to Boston following a one-goal loss to Florida to open the year. The Canadiens have an advantage between the pipes here, which should offset the fact that they are playing their third game in four nights. Chicago is still relying heavily on youth and that can be tough to lean on, especially early in the year as they are trying to find the right line combos. Montreal skates away with the win in this contest.

Canadiens vs. Blackhawks Over/Under Pick Over 5.5 (-135) (4 units)

Montreal has seen the over post a 1-0-1 mark on this season. The Canadiens have an average total of 6.50 goals per game, with both games coming on the road. Last season, Montreal saw an average total of 6.15 goals per game last season and that number bumps to 6.27 goals per game on the road. Last season, the Blackhawks had an average total of 6.29 goals per game and that number jumped to 6.51 goals per game on home ice. The over is 2-0-1 in the last three meetings between the teams and this number seems low. Take the over in this contest as a result.
