In what has not come to the surprise of many Vancouver Canucks fans, former Coach Rick Tocchet is back in the headlines for calling out a star player, just like he did when he was with the Vancouver Canucks.

It was a pretty big shock to the hockey world when Rick Tocchet decided that he was going to depart the organization after two seasons, especially after winning the Jack Adam’s award for the NHL’s best coach.

With his tendency to be hard on young, skill guys, many are comparing his comments and attitude towards Michkov to be the same as how he dealt with Elias Pettersson, which was not good at all.

Rick Tocchet making Michkov «slow his game down» and play a «North style». This is another future star he’s going to ruin.

Michkov is one of the most individually skilled guys in the league, and Tocchet has been making him practice passing to Juulsen at the point 😭😭😭

At the end of the day, Tocchet is more accomplished then many coaches in the league, and if he feels that Michkov needs to add or take away from his game, he has the right to do so.
