The Winnipeg Jets were able to hold off the Dallas Stars in Game 2, evening up the best-of-seven playoff series. Winnipeg showed why they were the best team in the NHL all season long, shutting out the explosive Dallas offense.
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck was special for the Jets in this game, making 21 saves in the 4-0 win. Hellebuyck has been a big question mark for Winnipeg throughout the postseason, and the team has pulled him in a number of games.

But at least for one night, the star goalie earned his spotlight. After the Jets evened the series, it meant that they would be getting at least one more game in front of the home fans.
The NHL has updated the series schedule, announcing the start time for Game 5. Game 5 between these two teams will take place on Thursday, May 15, at 9:30 p.m. ET.
As the series now shifts over to Dallas for Games 3 and 4, the pressure will be on Hellebuyck to continue his strong play. The veteran goalie spoke about his performance after the fact.
“There were stretches in the first round where I really liked my game. Just wasn’t in the results, but built it back better,” Hellebuyck said after making 21 saves in a 4-0 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 2 of the Western Conference Second Round at Canada Life Centre on Friday.

“I like where we’re at. The team in front of me is playing phenomenal, so we’re going to have fun. Just continue to have fun.”
