After the ideal start against the Flames, it was a challenging Thanksgiving weekend for the Canucks, who dropped a pair to the Oilers and Blues.

Ben Kuzma gave out the grades from the Blues game on Monday. Lots of C’s and just one A — how would you mark the players?

Ben also spoke to Keifer Sherwood, who may have been the Canucks best player so far.

If you missed it over the weekend, Ben also looks ahead to the rest of the week with games against the Stars and the Blackhawks on the cards.

Training camp is always an optimistic time. But after being told for the last month how the “vibes” were great with the Canucks and the mood was a lot lighter this year, Sportsnet’s Halford and Brough wonder if the “vibes” have already changed.

There’s an interesting feature out there by ESPN on who the top 100 players this season will be in their estimation. You can guess, easily, who was the only Canuck to crack the Top 10.

Only one other Canuck features in the top 100 — and, side note, former aggravant J.T. Miller is ranked 37th.

Good piece from The Athletic where the biggest question about the Canucks, Elias Pettersson, is being posed again.

“We’re less than a week into Vancouver’s season, so there is obviously tons of time to turn things around. However, you can understand the angst in this market because this core group of players hasn’t accomplished enough over the last half-dozen years to earn the benefit of the doubt.”
