Red Wings prospect Jesse Kiiskinen’s recent three-goal game has negated the impact of a slow production start and put him on a pace for a quality offensive season in Finland’s top league.
Kiiskinen shows five goals and nine points in 12 games for HPK Hameenlinna. He’s now on a pace for 25 goals in the 60-game Liiga. Kiiskinen, already signed to a three-year deal with the Red Wings, scored 14 goals last season. His assist rate is down this season. He registered 30 assists last season. He’s now on pace for 25 goals and 20 assists for 45 points, one point more than he showed last season.
Red Wings Prospects has been providing regular updates on Kiiskinen:

Meanwhile, Nikita Tyurin (140th, 2025) continues to be a workhorse defenseman for his Russian junior team. After a one-game call-up to Moscow Spartak in the KHL, he returned to his junior team where he is logging heavy minutes. The Red Wings’ Russian scout Nikolai Vakurov was very high on Tyurin going into the 2025 NHL draft.
The young Russian has two goals and seven assists for nine points in 13 games for his Spartak junior team. He’s plus-eight with 14 penalty minutes.

The Grand Rapids Griffins (2-0) will start their home schedule with Friday and Saturday games against Manitoba Moose at Van Andel Arena. Griffins notes: This is the first time the Griffins have started 2-0 on the road since 2007. Captain Dominik Shine is playing his 20th season with the Griffins. The only other players to do that are Brian Lashoff (14) and Travis Richards (20)…Eduards Tralmaks, signed by the Red Wings in the offseason after a standout season in Czechia’s top league, is the second Latvian to play with the Griffins. The other was Aigars Cipruss who logged one game for the Griffins in 1996-97. Tralmaks scored the Griffins’ first goal this season.
