Natalia Salansky’s goal off a corner in the first quarter stood up and the host Lackawanna Traill blanked Crestwood, 1-0, in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division I field hockey game Tuesday, handing the Lady Comets their first league loss and second straight defeat.
Lyla Ryon assisted on Salansky’s goal. Goalie Keira Mulhern had seven saves to earn the shutout for Trail.
The Lady Comets lost, 1-0, to The Hill School in Pottstown on Friday.

In Hazle Twp., the Cougars scored five goals in the second half to break a 0-0 tie for the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 victory.
Ronan Hearne had a second-half hat trick, while Yan Diaz added a goal and assist. Ricky Paredes added the Cougars’ fifth goal.
Kyree Mann and Carson Beggs each had unassisted goals for the Trojans.
Wilkes-Barre Area 4, Crestwood 2
At Comet Stadium, four Wolfpack players recorded goals in a WVC Division 1 win.
Kleydert Perez, Leandro Espinoza, Johnny Mendola and Mauricio Mejia all had goals for the Wolfpack. Espinoza, Mejia, Michael Schneikart and Josh Tapia all had assists.
Colin Gordon and Nathan Ciocco had the two Crestwood goals.

Katie Fredericks notched a hat trick with three goals and an assist, all in the first half, to lead the Lady Raiders to the shutout win in their regular-season finale..
Shaylee Gormley added a goal and an assist, Evelyn Leinbach also knocked in a goal and freshman Gia Miller scored her first varsity goal for Tamaqua.
Winning goalkeeper Ceanna Gormley recorded her sixth shutout of the season as her team didn’t allow a single shot on goal or corner kicks.
The Fillies’ Katie Knock made 11 saves.

Crestwood 3, Wyoming Area 0
At Wyoming Area, Crestwood picked up a WVC victory, 25-8, 25-16, 25-15.
For the Warriors, Madelyn Smith had eight assists and five digs, and Sara Pealer had four digs, three kills and one block. Taylor Gashi ended with seven kills and six digs.
Executive Education 3, Weatherly 1
The host Lady Wreckers won the first game, 25-18, before the Raptors came back to take the next three, 29-27, 25-23, 26-24,, in a closely contested non-league match.
Abby Weston recorded 13 service points with two aces, one kill, two digs and 14 assists for Weatherly. Abigail Binder finished with five service points, seven kills, one block and three digs; Kendra Moyer had 17 service points with two aces and five digs; and Kelly Reiner added four service points and five digs.
