Arbour, Jackman and Steen to be inducted into Blues Hall of Fame

  • October 16, 2025

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Matrix Midwest) – The Blues have announced the 2026 class of the team’s hall of fame.

Al Arbour, Barret Jackman and Alexander Steen will be enshrined in the Blues Hall of Fame in January. The announcement was made during the first period of Wednesday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Arbour, known for wearing glasses on the ice, was a member of the 1967-68 Blues (the team’s first season) and the franchise’s first captain. He spent four seasons in a Blues uniform and later coached the team over parts of three seasons. Arbour won four straight Stanley Cups as the coach of the New York Islanders in the early 1980s and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1996.

Jackman was main stay on the blue line, playing 13 seasons in St. Louis, winning the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year in 2002-2003. Jackman ranks second in Blues history in games played and is the franchise leader in games played among defensemen.

Steen is one of five players to spend at least 12 years with the Blues and helped lead the franchise to its first Stanley Cup in 2019. Steen ranks fourth in franchise history in games played, sixth in assists and points, and 10th in goals. He is one of five Blues players to dress in at least 90 playoff games. He is currently in the front office and will take over as general manager starting in the 2026-2027 season.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Missouri Athletic Club on January 12, 2026.
