The Carolina Hurricanes look to improve to 4-0-0 when they travel to take on the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.

The Carolina Hurricanes are still undefeated on the season, and they look to keep it that way traveling to take on the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night. The Hurricanes are amongst the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken as the league’s only remaining undefeated teams. Both the Kraken and Stars also play tonight against the Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks respectively. The Hurricanes have won three in a row to get here, against the New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers in overtime, and a dominating 5-1 win most recently against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. The Ducks won’t be an easy out today at home though. After dropping its season opener against Seattle, Anaheim is going for its third win in a row tonight after beating San Jose in overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 on Tuesday. Carolina will still be the clear favorite though, holding a -175 line even on the road on Thursday.

Carolina’s win against the Sharks was never really in doubt on Tuesday. No one scored in the first, but Sean Walker broke the scoreless tie in the second period with the first goal of the game. William Eklund tied the game soon after for San Jose, but Carolina would go on to score four unanswered to run away with it. William Carrier and Eric Robinson scored in less than five minutes of one another at the end of the second period to essentially put the game away for Carolina. The Hurricanes were incredibly dominant against the Sharks, outshooting San Jose 43-17. The Hurricanes first star was Logan Stankoven who ended the night with two assists.

Anaheim is coming off a strong close win over the Penguins at home, thanks to Chris Kreider. The left winger scored two goals and added an assist to earn the first star of the game. He scored two power-play goals, and his second goal of the night came with less than two minutes left in the third period for the game-winning tie breaker. It was a great comeback performance for the Ducks, who got down by two goals early in the first period of their home opener. They’ll need even more production tonight to pull off this upset against a formidable Carolina team.
