NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The South Carolina Stingrays have received a new goaltender on loan from the Hershey Bears, just two days before their season opener on Oct. 18.
According to the Rays, Antoine Keller was drafted in the 7th round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. Last year he appeared in 13 games in the Swiss National League, the highest level of hockey in Switzerland. While playing in Switzerland he had a 5-5-0 record with a 3.16 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage.
In his time Keller has also represented France internationally for hockey, and appeared in four games at the 2025 IIHF World Championship. He was a part of the same team when France won silver at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Div. 1-A Ice Hockey Championship.
The Stingrays’ 2025-2026 season begins Oct. 18, with a Home Opener game against the Norfolk Admirals with puck drop at 6:05 p.m.
