GREENE—

Following

their

big

win

over

Owego

on

senior

night,

the

Greene

Trojans

field

hockey

team

hosted

powerhouse

and

unbeaten

Whitney

Point

to

close

out

the

2025

regular

season.

Greene

fell

5-0.

Greene

saw

solid

play

from

its

starting

lineup

with

good

opportunities

and

defense

all-around,

but

no

chances

against

a

strong

Eagles

goalie

and

defense.

The

Trojans

did

have

at

least

10

shots

on

goal

to

stay

pretty

even

with

their

tough

opponent,

but

no

clear

path

to

score.

Senior

goalie

Mya

Leggett-Carlin

made

some

incredible

saves

on

hard

shots

while

the

rest

sailed

wide

towards

the

end

of

the

game

as

the

Eagles

scored

early.

Leggett-Carlin

made

six

saves

with

Braelyn

Blakeslee

leading

the

team

with

seven

saves.

Greene

now

awaits

Sectionals.
