We have news about former Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux.

The plan was for him to play all 82 games… However, it’s unfortunately already over for him as a regular player with the Blues.

Logan Mailloux Removed from the St. Louis Blues Lineup

After only four games and a negative plus-minus of -7, Mailloux is now headed to the press box, and his spot in their top six on defense is gone. He will be a healthy scratch tomorrow.

He’s now been relegated to the role of seventh defenseman, and some in St. Louis even believe he may soon leave the Blues entirely to join the American Hockey League.

“The Blues coach sees him as a long-term project.”

No, things aren’t going as planned for Mailloux and the Blues.

Even head coach Jim Montgomery’s tone about Mailloux has changed significantly…

Monty on Mailloux: “We’re thinking the long game with Logan Mailloux. Sometimes you need a reset and you go up in the pressbox and watch a game. We’re going to work with him. We have a plan. And when he gets back in the lineup, I don’t ever expect him to come back out.”
