The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to snap their two-game losing streak on Sunday against an old friend, Carson Wentz, who gets the start for the Minnesota Vikings.

Carson Wentz Set to Start Against His Former Team

The Eagles have faced Wentz one other time with Washington in Week 3 of 2022, a 24-8 Eagles win.  In that game, Wentz was 25-43 with 211 passing yards and was sacked a career-high 9 times in the game.

Wentz was the No. 2 overall pick by the Eagles in 2016 and spent his first five seasons of his career in Philadelphia, going 35-32-1 as a starter.  He was traded to the Indianapolis Colts before the 2022 season and has since played with Washington, the Rams, Kansas City, and now Minnesota.

Eagles Fans Gather in Ventnor at Ski Beach for Tailgate Fun

Local Eagles fans can watch the game and cheer on the birds in Ventnor at Ski Beach for a family-friendly tailgate event. Ski Beach has become a go-to spot for various events during the summer and fall months, like summer concerts, the seafood festival, and more.

The Eagles vs. Vikings game will be broadcast on a huge LED screen, with food trucks offering a variety of great food options throughout the game, as well as drinks and crafts from local vendors.

It looks like a great day weather-wise for the game, with temperatures expected to be in the low 70s.

The kickoff for the game is at 1 p.m., and gates open for the tailgating event, which is sponsored by the Ventnor Business Association, at 11 a.m.

You can listen to the game on 97.3 ESPN with Merrill Reese and Mike Quick calling all the action.
