The Vancouver Canucks are once again paying tribute to their Indian community, with another year of a new jersey design for the Indian holiday Diwali.
“Tomorrow, the Vancouver Canucks will host the Carolina Hurricanes for the second game of their three-game homestand and it’s going to be night full of celebration at Rogers Arena. In an article on their official website on Sunday afternoon, the Vancouver Canucks shared some big details for tomorrow’s eighth-annual Diwali Night celebration.”-Jaxon
Vancouver Canucks celebrate Diwali with new jersey design.
“Kaur designed the skate logo with nods to the peacock, flame, and the night sky.”-Beggs
“«The Diwali flame is a well-known symbol of light overcoming darkness. I wanted to depict it as a steady, growing glow to represent hope and the inner light that guides us through even the darkest of times.»-Kaur
The jersey will run fans a solid 750$, but if that is too expensive for some people, they can still grab tons of Diwali inspired Canucks gear.
“Hoodies featuring the Diwali-inspired skate logo are available for $90. Hats can be purchased for $45, while T-shirts cost $38. Both the hats and T-shirts are available with either one of the new logos.”-Beggs
This will be the fifth year the Canucks will be doing a Diwali night, with Diwali inspired gear. It started back in 2021, and even caught the attention of famous actor Seth Rogen, who loved the designs.
The Canucks will be wearing these jerseys on November 5th when they face the Chicago Blackhawks, and fans along with Kaur are hoping the inspiration of light, will help out the tough start to the season.
