Freddy, you, for you first, Freddie. Um, I know you like to be in the moment and you got a lot of in the moment opportunities in the first period, but can you just talk about the way the team played in front of you in particular in the 2nd and 3rd? Uh, yeah, that was a textbook, uh, Hurricanes hockey, I thought, um. Uh, yeah, long, long shift in there and making it tough on them to break out and obviously that sets, uh, sets up the next line to to kind of continue to do the same and. Uh, yeah, it is, it’s tough, uh, to kind of change that momentum when you’re, when you’re kind of in it, uh, for the defending team. So yeah, obviously huge, uh, to take a lead and, uh, yeah, build on it. Jack, it’s gonna be tough being the odd guy out of the lineup, but how does it feel for you to come back in and contribute in the way you did make a real big impact? Yeah, I mean, it’s, uh, it’s, uh, you know, a really, really deep team, really good team. So it’s, uh, it’s nice to come back and try to help the guys out, uh, as best I can. Uh, Freddie, just being able to come in like you did and shut the door on the Capitols. What does that say for you guys just being able to come in, you know, an environment like this at Lenovo and shut the door on them and get a serious lead? Yeah, I mean, we just wanted to, yeah, come back and try to protect home ice. I think the, the next play is always the most important, so. We obviously knew we, yeah, we, we didn’t like our game, uh, in game two and and needed to respond so. Uh, yeah, let’s get back to it and obviously, uh, took a little while, but we got that lead and, and, and kept it going, protected it. Jack, a little playing off of what you were just saying, you know, you go from healthy scratch to sitting here after a 4-0 win with a goal and an assist. What, what is this swing of emotions like for you in, in, you know, in a playoff series as well? Yeah, I don’t really wanna get too deep into it, but uh. Like I said, just, you know, always be ready and, uh, you know, try to help, uh, you know, help the team win. Jack, what after that first period, what was sort of the conversation in the room during the first intermission? Was there anything specifically that you guys talked about that helped get you going in the second and obviously build on that in the 3rd? No, I mean we’ve had the. You know, some first periods like that, uh, recent, uh, not recently, but, you know, throughout the year and I think it’s, uh, just a realization of, you know, the, the way we play and, um, you know, we got to clean it up a little bit, but we always, you know, seem to get back to it. And if it weren’t for Freddie, we would, uh, you know, it could have been, it could have been different. I was gonna follow up with that. I mean, when, when you guys are getting your legs going and, and Freddie’s doing what he’s doing back there, how much of a lift and how much does that kind of charge you guys up on the bench? Yeah, he saved my, uh, my ass a couple times. Uh, Jack, you and Robbie, uh, came up pretty big for the team today. What does it say about the Hurricanes depth that makes them so good in the playoffs where compared to other teams is just one of the deepest going so far in the postseason. Uh, you know, from the, from the, the day that I got here, I think, uh, I realized the buying and it sounds, you know, cliche, but, uh, the camaraderie and, um, you know, the way we’re, the way we’re coached, the way we, uh, we all buy into one system is, uh, something that, you know, we’ve found, you know, to be, uh, to be our crutch. Freddie, how was it for you guys to actually have a lead for the first time in the series and playing with the lead? Some of you guys haven’t had. I mean, leads are nice obviously but but at the end of the day it’s it’s about the next shift and you try to, yeah, you get to your game uh as quick as possible sometimes it takes a little longer but. But yeah, you, you work for that, uh, you work for the balance, you work for that, uh, that goal I guess through and, um, yeah, I guess it is, it is different playing with the lead obviously and. Um, but again, I think the way we play in their end when we even when we have a lead, it’s, it sets it up, sets it up for us to have a better chance at scoring again and, uh, playing, yeah, playing abo the puck and, and make it hard on them to, uh, to get to, uh, to our own and, and, and kind of do the same. So yeah, obviously you need a lead to win the game, so. We’ll take it. Freddy, you talked about the 2nd and 3rd period where textbook Hurricanes hockey and the guys were doing everything, limiting shots and doing the things that they do from a goaltender standpoint. How are you able to kind of appreciate that and while also trying to make sure you’re still engaged because the forwards and were really dominant in the last 40. Yeah, they’re great, doesn’t really matter what has happened in the game before, just trying to be ready for that next. I guess you can say that every time, but it, it is cliche, but uh yeah, just try to be in the moment and. Make the save and then yeah, continue to make uh or yeah keep the lead and and let them do their thing so you uh you don’t get to choose when you get a shot against as a goal you just got to try to be ready for it. Freddy, you’ve kept uh Ovechkin off the score sheet completely. How impactful is that on, on taking this seriously? Ah, again, I don’t get to choose who shoots, uh, just gotta try to see what uh what comes my way and and do my best to stop it. Jack, your goal just what did you see, um, you know, the way you guys worked the puck, but also what what did what were you what did you see on your goal? That this our mentality of our uh power play um. You know, we, uh, we try to get it in and, uh, get it set up as quick as possible and, um, in the net. So I think it’s just, uh, it’s one of those shots that, you know, you’re just, uh, you’re just working in the system of what we’ve, uh, kind of put together. Jack, this has been uh one of your best productive years as far as goal scoring, if not the best. What do you attribute your success for this season? Uh Mentality, mindset, uh, the way we play, um, you know, it’s a mixture, a mixture of a lot of things, uh, but, you know, we still got, uh, some season left, so I’ll, uh, I’ll tell you when it’s over.
