Winnipeg Jets

Jets captain Adam Lowry joined the team for morning skate on Saturday as he continues to recover from hip surgery he had in late May.

He is expected to return to action in November.

The 32-year-old had 16 goals and 34 points in 73 games last season, chipping in four goals in 13 playoff games.

Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens announced a slew of injuries on Saturday morning.

Defenceman Kaiden Guhle will miss four to six weeks with a lower-body injury.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury in the third period of Thursday’s 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators.

The Canadiens also announced that forward Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine would miss Saturday’s contest against the New York Rangers with lower-body injuries. They are both listed as day-to-day.

Owen Beck has been recalled from the AHL’s Laval Rocket on an emergency basis. He and Joe Veleno will make their season debuts tonight in place of Dach and Laine.

Dach, 24, has played all five games to start the season after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL last season, recording one goal and one assist.

Laine, 27, has one assist in five games this season.

Forard Pierre-Luc Dubois (lower-body) is skating in a non-contact jersey for the second straight day.

He last played on Oct. 12 against the New York Rangers.

Dubois has not recorded a point in three games this season.

New York Islanders

Defenceman Alexander Romanov will not play Saturday night against the Ottawa Senators and is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Adam Boqvist will take his spot in the lineup.
