The Nashville Predators finish up their four-game road trip with a visit to the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre on Oct. 18.

The Predators are looking to move on from a shocking overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 16. Nashville saw a 2-1 lead disappear in the final 19 seconds, then lost in overtime with two seconds remaining. Cole Caufield scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 3-2 win for Montreal.

“Two seconds, three seconds left, those little seconds killed us tonight,” coach Andrew Brunette said after the loss. “The margins are small. We’re not a team that’s going to score five every night, those margins are tight.”

The good news for Nashville (2-1-2, 6 points) is goaltender Juuse Saros is off to a hot start. In four starts, he has a .935 save percentage and a 1.94 goals allowed average. According to Money Puck, Saros has 5.1 goals saved above expected, which ranks fifth among 62 goalies.

Winnipeg (3-1-0) beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2 on Oct. 16. Captain Mark Scheifele scored two goals in the win and now has eight points in four games. Forwards Kyle Connor and Morgan Barron each have three goals.

Connor Hellebuyck, who is 2-1-0 with an .895 save percentage, will likely start in net for Winnipeg. Nashville will likely go with Saros.
